I get support from customer service on profile issues and it's actually not a big deal for me, but maybe this becomes a serious topic if wrong over the actions. But thanks to the services of Miss / Madam Lauren, it was all done in just a few minutes. I am truly grateful to him for successfully overcoming this problem and she was very rational and smart in choosing the right course of action for the problem I was facing. Once again thank you miss/madame Lauren and freelancer team.
I signed up as a customer and chose a freelancer to do some photoshop editing. Once we agreed on a price for the project, I had to put a deposit down, then I was asked a ton of personal information aside from just supplying a credit card for payment. Of course I declined, but was charged a bunch of fees that I've been unable to get refunded. Used Upwork instead. All they require (like most normal businesses) is a credit card on file.

Freelancer is an easy-to-use platform; even their help articles are short and straight to the point. When you meet their support team, you'll love how they are fast on dealing with whatever problems you're facing. They will make sure everything is sorted out to your satisfaction and direct you accordingly when necessary. Customer support is usually a challenge for many businesses but Freelancer seems to have a formula for rocking it. Overall great experience.
The interview process was so friendly and the Freelancer person was very polite and cooperative. She is very professional person.
I had run a contest for the top 3 entries to each win $133.33 (total of $400). When it came time to award the winners, I realized that you can NOT split up a contest prize among different people.
This was an issue - since I had three separate people who deserved the prize. Thankfully, Freelancer support was able to work with me so that we could treat everyone fairly. I appreciate the time and support from them.

I'm glad i found the opportunity to work as a Freelancer back in 2014. I was bankrupted with my local business and nothing left to do. But Freelancer.com was a light and it helped me to restore my financial status. Now I'm a full-time freelancer with multiple skills. It really gave me clarity while setting up my career-path & goals. I seek my lifetime career with them. They have insight and providing a best marketplace experience to millions.

It was fast and smooth transaction. The supports are really helpful they're straight to the point on how to handle my case. I thought it would take me some time so I try to response multiple time but it ended up creating new ticket I assume. I do apologize for that!
Please forward my regards to Ms/Mr. Maine, Jam and Caleb P.
Have a nice day and continue to help people at this platform.
This is my first time using Freelancer to find help with a photoshop project. I had questions regarding my invoice. My balance showed zero after making a deposit even though I did not release the funds yet. Also, this was a one-time project with a flat rate fee and I was concerned about automatic withdrawals. I was able to get in touch with an agent fairly quickly and he answered all of my questions and concerns. Great Service--wish I used it sooner.
Freelancer.com has milestone progress and a dispute resolution system in place to protect both job posters and freelancers alike. You can always narrow down the list of candidates for your job with robust filters and hire someone directly by clicking the "Hire Me" button on their profile if you feel they are the person for the job.
Freelancer.com Support Mr Judith J. Has been really responsive and helpful. He answered me in less than 10 minutes.
I really appreciate his response since I am very new with Freelancer.com. Today I am very excited to get response from "client" and almost contacted the number the "client" provided. But before I proceed, I go through the profile, and read some advises from Freelancer.com.
I hope in future I can get quality clients to hire me for my service.
Thank you.
I've had problems with withdrawing my earned funds as a freelancer but one of their chat support helped me. Of all the other chat supports that I talked to, this one was the best. She helped me process my withdrawal step by step which really cleared some confusion, not unlike other chat supports that would tell me the same thing over and over again saying, "Check your details" without specifying which one was I supposed to correct. This one chat support really cared for their freelancers. She deserves an award!
I've have some issue with a deduction from my account. It was my fault without knowing accepting projects on freelancer platform. But help desk agent her name was Celestine D chat with me and instantly reverse the payment after understanding the scenario. I would say it was the best customer service I've ever got from a foreign site. Gave me some tips how to handle such situations in future. Finally thanks again for your humble support.
Many companies can build an online platform - like Freelancer did - but not many can pull off the Customer Service side! That requires more than a few programmers and angel investors. I have been working with Freelancer for several years and today they surprised me - yet again - with a superb customer service experience.
Well Done Freelance-Team! Wish you all great Success!
I was having great difficulty because of my address and my joint bank account. At first i felt like i was going around in a circle but eventual members of the team were able to show why we will always need humans behind our machines. The matter was cleared up after i provided all the information that they requested and today i received my withdrawal. I thank them greatly for their patience, understanding and for following through to the end.
I seldom use Freelancer as I was busy with work, but I had this account for quite some time now. Apparently, after three years, I managed to browse through the system again hoping to land a project. However, after checking my payment details, I found out that I have some ‘pending charges.' So I immediately reached out to their support and refute the case. And just today after two days of constant communication, I finally got my answer and reverted the charges without a headache.
Keep it up and thanks to Freelancer Support!
Judith J. Was very prompt in her response in getting back to me when I inquired help from support regarding messaging on freelancer. I really needed help as it was my first day using freelancer, and she literally got back to me in less than 10 minutes and put my nerves at ease. Thanks Judith J. You're the Truth. P.S. I wish all Support in the world can be as quick and efficient as you. Keep up the great work!
On both occasions when I sought clarification about how the Freelancer website works, I received prompt replies that have made this process of learning the ropes a lot easier. In addition to full explanations addressing my specific questions, Freelancer customer service agents provided links that further elaborated on key related topics, and that extra wealth of information is very much appreciated.
I am pleased with the support that I have received so far. It is clear that Freelancer.com supports individuals who are making an effort to market their skills and talents and serve our global community. These are particularly challenging times with the pandemic and I am encouraged by the level of support and empathy I have received so far. Chelsea was excellent. She pointed me to where I can find additional resources on the website to boost my confidence and begin earning income.
Freelance Support has gotten much better since last I used it. A while back, it would either take forever to get a live agent to chat, or they would simply never show. So, kudos for simply getting their act together in that area. Beyond that, the rep understood my issue and credited me back $$ when I wasn't satisfied with a particular area of a contest. Good going. Keep it up.
You really need to sort out bad projects for something like your first 20 or 30 reviews, after that you can get something like preferred status and see what other post in bids and overall it become much better. Corporate account also possible with membership upgrades and constant promos of memberships, you will not make a lot right away, but while you build up your rep and promote yourself in various ways - money will come to that. Some mistakes and such presents but they fix them each year I would say.
I had a very nice experience with Nicholl. Was very patient, helpful and answered all my questions on a very specific situation. Understood all my concerns and didn't just copy and paste answers from the Help Manual like a robot.
Overall, very smart and different customer support, Freelancer should definitely allow him a raise :D!
Being one of the biggest freelancer websites, Freelancer.com has some trouble with freelancers not respecting their ToS, but the service team is amazing. Whenever I contact them, they react promptly and professionally. Today I had a chat with Jennifer M., who was very nice, looked into the issue immediately and resolved it in a matter of minutes. Customer service at its best.
Without my knowledge and capacity, I was charged of $10.48 on June 18,2021. I wasn't able to take it as my cup of tea because I do not know how and when did I subscribe to this. Gladly, Mr. Hachiro, one of the support teams assisted me unto the refund. Though I haven't received the amount on my card yet but transaction was already sent on my Paypal and email. I am waiting for the refund money to be in my account still. Thank you so much!
I'd signed up for a Freelancer account, primarily to test the platform a month ago. However, it didn't really work out for me and I kind of forgot about it after a few days. Last night I was charged a fee for their Plus membership that they had offered free for the first month as the second month started. I duly requested cancellation and a refund. My request was handled by Judith J. Who was prompt and courteous. While I can't really comment on the platform itself since I never really used it, I can certainly give full marks to the customer service.
It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
